Welcome to Lawson's Delicatessen
Lawson's Delicatessen is a much-loved shop in Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast.
We are a friendly, welcoming shop selling carefully sourced food including artisan cheese, charcuterie, olives and chutneys. We are delighted to celebrate the quality and diversity of food and drink produced in Suffolk such as Pump Street Bakery's bread and chocolate, and High House’s fruit and apple juice.
From January 2017 Lawson's is under the ownership of Clare Jackson and John Ormerod, a father and daughter team.
If you've called in since January, you'll know that we've given the shop a fresh lease of life. We have expanded our range of cheese and are sourcing more British artisan cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy and highlighting a different cheese each month. We have introduced some exciting new products including Monmouth Coffee to take away, French saucisson and a nut bar. We hope you'll call in soon!
If you're in Aldeburgh, do call in and say hello!
We are now open from 10am - 2pm on Sundays.
We are open all day on the Bank Holiday - 29th May.
Cheese of the Month
Call in on Saturday 27 May to meet local truffle maker, Sam Boulton, of Truffles et Al.
Sam will be with us from 10am until 2pm. Come in and try her delicious chocolate truffles.
Meet local award-winning cheesemaker, Julie Cheyney, who hand makes St Jude's near Bungay using milk from the farm. Come and taste her cheese and chat to her about how she makes it.
On Saturday 3 June we'll be demonstrating how to use Ross & Ross's fabulous home curing kits, which we think make a perfect Father's Day present.
